Fattigmandsstage Buttet [H-25 cm] 1800

En stor, antik lysestage i originalt fattigmandssølv. I bunden er hullet, hvor kviksølvet blev hældt i. Ofte er hullerne lukket med en forsegling. En meget smuk stage med patina.
Fattigmandssølvet blev lavet i det 1800-tallet som en erstatning til folket, istedet for det rigtige sølv, der var meget dyrere. Ofte blev det brugt som bryllupsgaver.

/A large, antique Candlestick in original poor man's silver. In the bottom is the hole in which the mercury was poured in. Often the holes are sealed with a seal. A very beautiful candlestick with patina. The Poor man's silver was made in the 19th century as a substitute for the people, instead of the real silver, that was very expensive. Often it was used as wedding gifts.
